Liposuction is a method of body contouring by removing fatty deposits. The fat is extracted using a long cannula and suction, hence the term Liposuction. Our techniques mean that there is less trauma, less bruising and a quicker recovery time.
The results are both natural looking and aesthetically pleasing. Liposuction can be used to sculpt localised pockets of fat, or removed fat by volume.
Fat cells can become resilient in certain areas, and patients can notice that pockets of fat remain even with a varied exercise regime. Liposuction provides a safe way to remove these pockets of fat.

Our expert liposuction surgeon uses a technique called Syringe-Assisted Liposculpture. He learnt this technique in 1992 from Dr Pierre Fournier in Paris, who invented the technique.

Twilight Sedation and Liposuction
Liposuction / Liposculpture at Castlefield Clinic is carried out under Twilight Sedation (local anaesthetic with sedation), which minimises the risks normally associated with a general anaesthetic. The technique of anaesthesia also means that there is less bruising and a quicker recovery period without the need for an overnight stay.
During the recovery period from your liposuction in Manchester, you will be provided with tailored and comprehensive after care to ensure everything runs smoothly. You should expect to be back to work after 7 days, but can resume limited daily activities within 3 or 4 days. Our expert team of nurses and doctors will guide you through your recovery period and will be there every step of the way.
