Detox Diet Guide The detox diet is well and truly with us. It seems that almost every celebrity is on one, and every celebrity is trying to promote one.

The basic idea behind a detox diet is to cleanse your body of toxins and chemicals that have built up over a period of time. Water is the best natural cleanser you can consume, and it doesn't cost an arm and a leg.

When it comes to eating, the idea is to consume natural ingredients such as fruit and vegetables, but these can be prepared in all manner of forms. You can try soups, smoothies, juices, broths, or even have them raw.

So there you go; a simple detox diet. Eat fruit and vegetables in all manner of forms so you don't get bored of them, and drink plenty of water, typically 1.5 – 2 litres a day, more if you are exercising.

After 5 days of this, you will feel refreshed and also frankly a bit sick and tired of your detox diet, but remember to stick to a healthy, well balanced diet afterwards!
