TYPES OF EXERCISE
There a various forms of exercise you can undertake. Below are brief descriptions and benefits of each kind.
Aerobic Exercise
Aerobic exercise is when a physical activity, like running or swimming, is carried out for a prolonged period of time. The benefits are that this is best for weight loss, but also endurance and stamina.
Anaerobic Exercise
This is resistance training that builds muscle mass. Weight training is a form of anaerobic exercise. Benefits are that muscle tone is improved.
Moderate-Intensity Exercise
This refers to brisk walking, mowing the lawn, raking leaves, taking the stairs instead of the lift, etc. These activities can be incorporated into your daily regime, and still provide benefits and increase your general activity base.
Household chores.
Housework is definitely classed as a form of exercise, and anyone who regularly does house work, will testify that it can be quite strenuous. Use your chores as part of your exercise regime, and make sure you concentrate on posture etc.
