Depending on the type of scar, the scar treatment can either be to cut out and restitch, giving a much better appearance to the scar, or the scar removal can take the form of a Z plasty, which breaks down the scar, and releases the underlying tissue, thereby giving scar reduction and sometimes scar removal.
